About The Position

Alaska Marine Trucking is hiring a full-time Heavy Diesel Technician/Mechanic for a swing-shift position in Anchorage, Alaska. The role provides maintenance on heavy-duty equipment, including tractors, trailers, and forklifts, and assists with major component swaps. The schedule is 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., with a $3.00-per-hour shift differential. The position offers competitive wages, professional growth opportunities, and ample overtime. Requirements

Must be able to apply for and be issued a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card).
Detail-oriented, with good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Able to regularly lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
Able to travel for short periods of time and work in outside weather conditions.
Satisfactory background check and pre-employment drug screen required.

Responsibilities

Provide maintenance on heavy-duty equipment, including tractors, trailers, and forklifts.
Assist with major component swaps, such as hydraulic pumps, engines, and transmissions.
Perform inspections in compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.
Carry out duties with a strong commitment to excellent customer service.
Arrive at work on time and ready to work.
