About The Position

Alaska Marine Trucking, part of the Lynden family of companies, is hiring a full-time Heavy Diesel Technician/Mechanic in Juneau, Alaska. This night-shift role maintains heavy-duty equipment and assists with major component replacements. The schedule is 3:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday, with a $3.00-per-hour shift differential. Requirements

Must be able to apply for and be issued a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Card).

Ability to regularly lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift objects weighing as much as 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

Maintain heavy-duty equipment, including tractors, trailers, and forklifts.
Assist with major component swaps, including hydraulic pumps, engines, and transmissions.
Perform inspections in compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.
Carry out duties with a strong commitment to excellent customer service.
Arrive at work on time and ready to work.
