About The Position

Alaska Marine Trucking, part of the Lynden family of companies, is hiring a full-time Heavy Diesel Technician/Mechanic for its Anchorage, Alaska location. The position works swing shift from 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. and includes a $3.00-per-hour shift differential. The role maintains heavy-duty equipment, including tractors, trailers, and forklifts, assists with major component swaps, and performs inspections in compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations. Applicants must be able to apply for and be issued a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC). Requirements

Must be able to apply for and be issued a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
Detail-oriented, with good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift objects weighing as much as 100 pounds.
Ability to travel for short periods of time and work in outside weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Provide maintenance on heavy-duty equipment, including tractors, trailers, and forklifts.
Assist with major component swaps, including hydraulic pumps, engines, and transmissions.
Perform inspections in compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.
Carry out duties with a strong commitment to excellent customer service.
Show up to work on time and ready to work.
