Heavy Assembler
About The Position
Arcosa Wind Towers, Inc. is a manufacturer of structural wind towers in North America. The Heavy Assembler assembles mechanical units, fabricated parts, components, subassemblies, assemblies, and complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous equipment. The role fits, aligns, calibrates, and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and operating requirements, and repairs units or products that do not meet requirements. The position is located in Belen, New Mexico, and is safety sensitive. The schedule may change, and the employee must be open to first, second, and third shifts.
Requirements
- Two years of experience preferred.
- Knowledge of all finished product specifications.
- Must be open to first, second, and third shifts.
- Ability to tolerate high and low temperatures and loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.
- Must observe and follow safety practices, rules, and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist in completing tasks to meet deadlines.
- Operate mobile equipment.
- Verify certified torque sequences and values.
- Perform quality checks to meet customer specifications.
- Read and follow complex instructions.
- Follow safety rules and practices, and participate in safety committees or initiatives as assigned.
- Assemble mechanical units, fabricated parts and components, subassemblies, assemblies, and complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous equipment.
- Fit, align, calibrate, and adjust parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements.
- Repair units or products that fail to meet requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
