About The Position

Valtir is hiring a Heavy Assembler to support its Lima, Ohio manufacturing facility. The role performs general labor in the manufacturing and processing of highway safety products. The work takes place in a fast-paced, heavy industrial plant and may involve different areas of the facility. Conditions can be hot, cold, dirty, and noisy. Employees must follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times, including wearing hearing and eye protection, protective clothing, and steel-toed shoes. Dependable attendance and punctuality are expected.

Requirements

At least 1 year of industrial experience.
Valid driver's license.
Reliable and predictable attendance.
Knowledge of and ability to operate all equipment in the assigned area.
Ability to perform all essential functions safely and efficiently.
Ability to function as a team member and establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Responsibilities

Assemble mechanical units, fabricated parts and components, subassemblies, or complete units.
Complete orders by fabricating, assembling, wrapping, packaging, and binding required parts.
Operate heavy equipment, including forklifts, rolling machines, and packing machines.
Maintain a clean work environment through 5S activities.
Lift and carry materials of different weights throughout the shift.
Check tools and equipment in accordance with safety regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
