About The Position

The Heavy Assembler assembles metal products partially or completely at a bench or on the shop floor. The role positions and fastens parts, operates drills, impact wrenches, and hand tools, and produces completed units capable of passing final inspection. The position is onsite and includes a $2,000 sign-on bonus, subject to terms and conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; and effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group situations with other employees.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to perform the essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Position parts according to knowledge of the unit being assembled or controlled documents.
• Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, or other fasteners.
• Operate drills, hand/air impact wrenches, and hand tools.
• Produce a completed unit capable of passing final inspection.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
