About The Position

As a Heating Service Technician, you will service customers by troubleshooting and diagnosing heating equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures. Success depends on the quality of your work and meeting customer needs. You will install, maintain, and repair oil- and propane-fired heating systems, inspect completed work for safe operation, complete service-call paperwork, manage inventory, and keep the service truck in good working order. The role includes rotational evening and weekend on-call duties. Safety training and equipment are provided.

Requirements

• Valid propane or natural gas license.
• Knowledge of wiring and plumbing.
• Ability to install various types of heating equipment.
• Ability to work well with others, with good organization and communication skills, attention to detail, and strong customer service.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
• Strong decision-making skills.
• Ability to drive frequently, climb in and out of a vehicle, work in confined spaces, lift heavy items, and work at heights up to 50 feet.

Nice To Haves

• Nora Certification.
• Heating technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot oil- and propane-fired boilers, furnaces, water heaters, and oil tanks.
• Review diagnostics, identify problems, and use appropriate tools to complete repairs.
• Inspect systems after repairs to ensure equipment is operating safely.
• Complete daily paperwork for each service call.
• Maintain daily and yearly inventory.
• Ensure the service truck is in good working order and reliable.
• Perform other duties as required to maintain and enhance departmental productivity.
• Participate in rotational evening and weekend on-call coverage.
