Hearing Aid Specialist
About The Position
Carelink is hiring a part-time Hearing Aid Specialist to work a variable schedule 1-2 days per week. CareLink Mission: CareLink is a leader in specialized healthcare within a comprehensive continuum that improves the lives of older adults and adults with disabilities by providing relevant, high-quality care that is accessible throughout Rhode Island. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping individuals with hearing loss, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those we serve while building a fulfilling career. This is a part-time position will average 8-16 hours per week.
Requirements
- Experience working in audiology or a related healthcare field.
- Certification from a recognized body like the National Board for Certification in Hearing Instrument Sciences (NBC-HIS).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using audiometric equipment.
- Ability to stay updated on the latest hearing aid technology and advancements.
- Experience in sales or customer service.
- Comfort with administrative and record-keeping tasks.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Audiology or Hearing Instrument Science
- State license in Audiology or Hearing Instrument Dispensing
- Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and hearing aid technology
Responsibilities
- Provide patient counseling on hearing health and assistive devices
- Fit, dispense, and maintain hearing aids and other assistive devices
- Document patient information and progress in electronic medical records
- Communicate with other healthcare professionals regarding patient care
- Stay current on industry developments and advancements in technology
