About The Position

Citizen is hiring a Head of Product, Enterprise to lead its enterprise products and consoles, public API and its packaging and pricing, integrations, and the path from a signed contract to a live customer. Citizen’s enterprise customers include cities, hospitals, campuses, and private security teams. The role focuses on scaling a product built on real-time public-safety intelligence, helping institutions use that intelligence in their existing systems and workflows. The Head of Product, Enterprise reports to the Founder and owns product direction and velocity, including the product drivers of enterprise renewals and expansion. Sales owns customer relationships, contracts, and quota; Finance owns the forecast and P&L. The role works closely with the Founder, Sales, engineering leadership, Real-Time Operations, Finance, and the consumer product peer, sharing a codebase, data platform, and standard for agent decision-making. This is a hands-on product leadership role in an agent-driven organization. The role will build and operate an agent team to perform product-management production work, such as discovery synthesis, competitive analysis, drafting specifications, partner documentation, onboarding runbooks, and weekly pipeline and renewal reviews. The Head of Product makes product decisions rather than building a product-management department or managing a traditional PM team. The role’s priorities include reducing the time from contract signing to customer onboarding, shaping the enterprise product, developing design partnerships, defining the public API and its tiers and pricing, selecting and delivering integrations, establishing a customer-listening loop, improving renewal and expansion drivers, and setting standards for where agents can act and where human judgment is required. Success is measured by onboarding time, integrations and their usage, renewal and expansion performance, customers served per team member, enterprise and API reliability, and product functions carried end to end by agents. The position is based in New York and requires working in the office alongside the Founder. The first 90 days include learning the customers, contracts, pipeline, renewals, API, and Mission Control operations; taking over the weekly enterprise read; building initial agents; presenting an enterprise product plan; shipping an onboarding improvement; and delivering a twelve-month plan, a live customer integration, a packaging decision, and a product loop handled without human intervention. Compensation is a base salary of $250,000–$290,000 per year, plus equity.

Requirements

  • Experience replacing a function previously managed with a system the candidate built, and ability to show what its agents can and cannot do.
  • Experience owning a B2B product through the full cycle: shipping it, selling it alongside a sales team, onboarding customers, and renewing them.
  • Ability to demonstrate ownership of a renewal or expansion number and the work behind it.
  • Experience packaging and pricing a technical product, such as an API, platform, or integration, so customers can buy it without a meeting and developers can use it without a call.
  • Strong quantitative skills, including the ability to build a model and read a pipeline independently, and to identify when a number is misleading.
  • Commitment to the public-safety mission and interest in building the product in New York, in the office, alongside the Founder.
  • Willingness to challenge the Founder’s views and support product decisions with data.

Responsibilities

  • Own the enterprise products and consoles, public API, API packaging and pricing, integrations, and the path from signed contract to live customer.
  • Own product direction and velocity, deciding what to build, in what order, and what not to build.
  • Reduce the time from contract signing to customer onboarding, including provisioning, geofences, user setup, training, and the first week of use.
  • Choose design partners, put prototypes in front of them, and determine what becomes part of the product.
  • Define how Citizen’s real-time intelligence is consumed by other systems, including API pricing, tiers, documentation, and the developer or agent integration experience.
  • Select, prioritize, and deliver integrations with systems used by cities, campuses, hospitals, and other customers.
  • Establish a daily listening loop that uses enterprise calls, support tickets, renewal conversations, and lost deals to propose product improvements.
  • Own the product drivers of enterprise renewal and expansion performance, build a loop to monitor them, and explain variances.
  • Set standards for where agents should listen, verify, write, or route, and where a human must make decisions, in partnership with the consumer product peer and the Founder.
  • Build and operate agents that handle product-management production work, including discovery synthesis, competitive reads, specification drafts, partner documentation, onboarding runbooks, and weekly pipeline and renewal reviews.
  • Work daily with the Founder and partner with Sales, engineering leadership, Real-Time Operations, the consumer product peer, Finance, and the existing agents.
  • Take over the weekly enterprise read, stand up an agent to read the listening loop, and prepare product plans and measured improvements during the first 90 days.
  • Monitor and improve onboarding time, integrations and usage, renewal rate and expansion revenue, customers served per team member, enterprise and API reliability, and the number of product functions carried end to end by agents.

  • Equity
