  • Bring people leadership experience and strong matrix collaboration skills.
  • Have a track record of measuring outcomes and reallocating effort toward highest-impact work.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior learning advisor to Commercial Banking executives, demonstrating a strong understanding of Commercial Banking strategy, client coverage model, products and solutions, credit lifecycle, risk mindset, and performance drivers.
  • Lead thoughtful discussions with stakeholders, provide a clear point of view on learning priorities and solutions, and challenge requests that are unclear, duplicative, low-impact, or misaligned to strategic priorities.
  • Translate stakeholder requests into clear business and performance challenges by identifying target audiences, current versus desired performance, root causes, constraints, and measurable outcomes.
  • Establish governance to ensure learning priorities reflect the Commercial Banking agenda (e.g., annual and quarterly planning, demand management, sponsorship, and decision rights).
  • Own the multi-year learning strategy and roadmap for Commercial Banking, ensuring a clear connection to business goals (e.g., revenue growth, client experience, prudent risk-taking, productivity, and talent readiness).
  • Assess current and emerging capability needs across Commercial Banking to support both business performance and future talent readiness, and ensure learning experiences are practical, relevant, and grounded in real Commercial Banking scenarios.
  • Oversee end-to-end program design and delivery across modalities (in-person, virtual, blended, digital), with consistent quality standards and learner experience, and scale solutions across regions and segments while allowing targeted customization where needed, maintaining consistency in core standards and learner experience.
  • Partner with subject matter experts and approved vendors to develop and deliver content, ensuring materials reflect Commercial Banking realities and are adoption-ready for the field.
  • Define and measure success through meaningful business and learner outcomes (e.g., time-to-productivity, proficiency/assessment results, manager-observed behavior change, adoption, and business-aligned key performance indicators where appropriate).
  • Create a continuous improvement loop using data and stakeholder feedback; retire or redesign low-value learning and reinvest in high-impact capability builds.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team (clear direction, coaching, development, effective ways of working, and delivery rhythms), collaborate with other Learning Leads to ensure consistency across the Commercial and Investment Bank where appropriate (with purposeful differentiation for Commercial Banking), drive strong program management, resource planning, and budget/vendor oversight with transparent communication of progress and trade-offs, and partner with relevant stakeholders (including Technology, Human Resources, and other corporate functions) to ensure learning content and delivery follow appropriate governance and review expectations while remaining practical, business-relevant, aligned to broader priorities, and effectively communicated.
