About The Position

The Hand Packer works on the Pear Line at Old Station, packing and repacking fruit, placing trays into boxes, and setting machine speeds. The schedule is 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, on the day shift, though hours and workdays may vary depending on production. Weekend work may be required. This is a full-time, year-round position; two openings are available.

Requirements

• Know Washington State Grade Standards and fruit varieties.
• Have prior experience.
• Be willing to work weekends.
• Be flexible with the work schedule.
• Be able to perform repetitive work while maintaining attention to detail.
• Be able to work closely with and get along with coworkers.
• Have good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Pack and repack fruit.
• Place trays into boxes.
• Set machine speeds.
• Perform other duties as assigned, which may be outside the listed duties.
