About The Position

The Hand Packer at TreeHouse Foods’ Carrollton location packs acceptable product and/or icing into appropriate cans as product moves along the production line. The role supports production schedules and product quality by separating unacceptable product, packing good product into containers, monitoring can weights and supplies, and completing accurate and efficient changeovers. The position requires adherence to good manufacturing practices and applicable regulatory requirements, as well as maintaining an organized and clean work area.

This is a full-time, permanent position on the second shift, which runs from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays. A shift differential is included. Overtime may be required.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED equivalent experience.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations to count product and fill orders.

Responsibilities

• Separate unacceptable product.
• Pack acceptable product at production line speed and maintain the production schedule.
• Pack all good product in containers.
• Monitor cans for proper weight and maintain an adequate supply of cans.
• Perform accurate and efficient changeovers.
• Follow good manufacturing practices to prevent product contamination.
• Comply with FDA, OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
• Keep the work area organized and clean.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.
• Work overtime as required.
