About The Position

The Merchandiser works independently in assigned retail stores to present Hallmark products, maintain inventory, and build relationships with store teams. The role includes servicing Hallmark departments in grocery, drug, department, and mass-retail stores, and may occasionally involve other companies’ products. Merchandisers use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for daily work, communication, reporting, and required merchandising activities. They may also support fellow merchandisers with seasonal resets, installations, and other work in nearby territories. This is a part-time position averaging 10–15 hours per week, with a variable schedule during the work week. Workload and hours may increase around holidays and seasonal changeovers, and some assignments may involve weekends or evenings. The starting pay is $16.00–$18.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training is provided through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases, and part-time employees scheduled for fewer than 30 hours may access voluntary benefits. The work takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms and is physically demanding. The employee must regularly handle cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures, and may need to kneel, squat, walk, stand, climb stairs, or use step ladders. Applicants must be at least 18, able to read, write, and understand English, have internet and Wi-Fi access, and have reliable transportation to assigned stores. Employment is contingent on required employment documentation, an arbitration agreement, and successfully passing a post-offer background check.
