About The Position

As a part-time Hallmark Merchandiser, you work independently in assigned retail stores to showcase organizational and time-management skills, build retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory, and may support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations. Occasionally, you may work with other companies’ products in the stores you service. The role includes servicing Hallmark departments in grocery, drug, department, and mass-retail stores. You are responsible for the Hallmark product display at your assigned stores, using a Hallmark-provided mobile device to restock, organize, monitor inventory, report time, communicate with your supervisor, provide feedback, and complete surveys. Courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is important. Work increases around seasonal demand and holidays. You may have additional workdays and extended hours before and after major holidays, and may be required to work on certain holidays, including weekends. Department reset work may involve building or installing fixtures, relocating card departments or products, and resetting card sections; remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance and may take place evenings or weekends. The schedule varies during the work week, averaging 5–16 hours weekly, with availability needed for seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support. The job is physically demanding and involves work on selling floors and in back stockrooms. Employees must frequently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and fixtures weighing up to 30 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The work also involves kneeling, squatting, walking, and standing, and may require climbing stairs and step ladders. Starting pay is $16.95–$18.95 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training includes live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Part-time employees with schedules under 30 hours can access a variety of voluntary benefits.
