About The Position

As a part-time Merchandiser, you independently service Hallmark departments in retail stores, using organization and time-management skills, building retailer relationships, and representing Hallmark. You collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory, and may support fellow merchandisers with seasonal resets and installations. On occasion, you may work with other companies’ products in the stores you service. The role includes day-to-day work restocking, organizing, and monitoring Hallmark products and displays; seasonal holiday support, which may involve additional days and extended hours; and department resets, installations, fixture building, and product or department relocation. You use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work tasks, communications, time reporting, feedback, and surveys. You are responsible for the Hallmark product display at assigned stores and may support other merchandisers in their territories. The position averages 6–11 hours per week on a variable schedule during the work week. Availability before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required, as is availability for seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support. Some assignments may involve evenings or weekends, and work on certain holidays may be required. The work takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms and is physically demanding. The role requires frequently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying items up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds, as well as kneeling, squatting, walking, and standing throughout the workday. Climbing stairs and step ladders may also be required. Starting pay is $15.00–$17.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Hallmark provides paid training through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits, including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage for preventive care.
