As a Merchandiser, you work independently in retail stores as the face of Hallmark, using organization and time-management skills while building relationships with store teams. You help optimize product placement and maintain inventory, and may assist colleagues with seasonal resets and installations. Stores may include grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers; occasionally, you may work with other companies’ products at the stores you service. The role includes day-to-day merchandising, holiday support, and department resets. You restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products and displays, using a Hallmark-provided mobile device for merchandising tasks, communication, time reporting, feedback, and surveys. You may work additional days or extended hours around major holidays, and may be required to work on certain holidays. Reset and installation assignments can involve building or installing fixtures, relocating departments or products, and resetting card sections; assignments may include evenings or weekends. You may also support other merchandisers in their territories. This is a part-time position averaging 10–15 hours per week, with a variable schedule during the work week. The starting rate is $15.00–$17.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training is provided through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. The position is physically demanding and involves working on sales floors and in back stockrooms.
