About The Position

As a part-time Merchandiser, you will independently service Hallmark departments in various retail stores, including grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers. You will represent Hallmark, build relationships with store teams, optimize product placement, maintain inventory, and support coworkers with seasonal resets and installations. The role may occasionally involve working with other companies’ products in the stores you service.

The work includes day-to-day restocking, organizing, and monitoring Hallmark products and displays, using a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work tasks and communications. Seasonal demand brings additional days and extended hours around major holidays; work on certain holidays, including weekends, may be required. You may also help build or install fixtures, relocate departments or products, and reset card sections, sometimes during evenings or weekends. Remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance.

This is a physically demanding position involving work on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms. The schedule is variable during the work week, and availability around major holidays and for season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support is required. Starting pay is $14.50–$16.50 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training is provided through hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to read, write, and understand English.
• Able to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Must have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Must have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Must be available the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Must be available to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department at assigned stores.
• Maintain responsibility for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for day-to-day work, communication with a supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing surveys for required merchandising activities.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels.
• Support seasonal holiday demand with additional workdays and extended hours as needed.
• Help build and install Hallmark fixtures, relocate card departments and products, and reset card sections.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
• Provide availability for season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
