About The Position

The Hallmark Merchandiser works independently in assigned retail stores to showcase organizational and time-management skills, build retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. The role involves collaborating with store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory, while supporting fellow merchandisers with seasonal resets and installations as needed. The position may occasionally involve working with other companies’ products in serviced stores. The work takes place in Hallmark departments at grocery, drug, department, and mass retail stores. Merchandisers are responsible for the Hallmark product displays at their assigned stores. Daily work includes restocking, organizing, and monitoring product inventory, using a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work activities and communication, and interacting courteously with store employees, management, and customers. Merchandisers may support seasonal demand with additional workdays and extended hours around major holidays, and may help with installations, fixture building, department relocations, and card-section resets. Remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance. This is a part-time position with a variable work-week schedule, averaging 15–20 hours per week. Starting pay is $15.00–$17.00 per hour depending on skills and experience. Paid training is provided through hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. The job is physically demanding and involves work on selling floors and in back stockrooms, frequent movement, and handling merchandise and fixtures. Merchandisers need consistent transportation to travel between assigned stores and access to Wi-Fi and the internet.
