As a part-time Merchandiser, you independently service Hallmark departments in retail stores, including grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers. You are the face of Hallmark, working with store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory. You may also support seasonal resets and installations, and occasionally work with other companies’ products in the stores you service. The role includes day-to-day restocking, organizing, and monitoring Hallmark products and displays, using a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work tasks and communication. Seasonal demand may require additional days and extended hours around major holidays, and on some occasions work on the holiday itself. Department resets may involve installing fixtures, relocating departments or products, and resetting card sections; remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance. Merchandisers may also support other team members in their territories. The position averages 15–20 hours per week on a variable work-week schedule. Starting pay is $15–$17 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training is provided through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. The work is physically demanding and takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms.
