The Hallmark Merchandiser works independently in the Hallmark departments of retail stores, including grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers. The role showcases organizational and time-management skills, builds relationships with retailers, and represents Hallmark. Merchandisers collaborate with store teams to optimize product placement and inventory, and may support colleagues with seasonal resets and installations. On occasion, the role may involve working with other companies’ products in the stores served. This part-time position averages 10–12 hours per week on a variable schedule during the work week. The role includes day-to-day merchandising, additional seasonal support around major holidays, and occasional department resets and installations. Holiday-related work may involve additional days or extended hours, and work on certain holidays or weekends may be required. Remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance and may include evenings or weekends. The work is physically demanding and takes place on retail sales floors and in back stockrooms. Merchandisers use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for merchandising tasks and work-related communication, and travel between assigned stores.
