About The Position

As a part-time Merchandiser, you will independently service the Hallmark department in various retail stores, representing Hallmark while maintaining product displays and inventory. You will work with local store teams to optimize product placement and may support other merchandisers with seasonal resets and installations. The role involves using a Hallmark-provided mobile device for merchandising tasks and communication, and may occasionally include work with other companies’ products in stores you service.

The position has a variable work-week schedule averaging 10–12 hours per week. Workload may increase around major holidays and during season changeovers, installations, extended service, and inventory support. Holiday availability, including some weekends, is required. Department reset assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance and may involve evenings or weekends.

The role is physically demanding and involves working on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms. Employees must regularly handle merchandise and fixtures, move throughout the workday, and may need to climb stairs or step ladders. Starting pay is $16.00–$18.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training includes live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Must be able to frequently grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Must have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Must have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Must be available during the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Must be available to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory and displays in assigned retail stores.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device to access documents, report time, communicate with a supervisor, provide feedback, and complete required surveys and merchandising activities.
• Maintain the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Support increased service needs and extended hours leading up to and following major holidays; work on certain holidays when required.
• Assist with installations, fixture building, department relocations, and card-section resets.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
• Provide season changeover, extended service, installation, and inventory support.
