About The Position

The Hallmark Merchandiser works independently in assigned retail stores to service Hallmark product displays and maintain inventory. The role involves collaborating with store teams, building retailer relationships, and representing Hallmark while organizing and placing products. Merchandisers may also support other team members and, on occasion, work with products from other companies in serviced stores.

The work includes day-to-day restocking, organizing, and monitoring Hallmark products using a mobile device for work tasks and communications. Seasonal periods require additional days and extended hours, and some holidays may require work on the holiday itself. Merchandisers may also help install fixtures, relocate departments and products, and reset card sections; remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance. The job is physically demanding and includes work on selling floors and in back stockrooms.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to frequently grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Availability during the week before and after major holidays, potentially including weekends.
• Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside Hallmark departments at assigned retail stores.
• Maintain responsibility for the full Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device to access documents, report time, communicate with a supervisor, provide feedback, and complete required surveys and merchandising activities.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Support seasonal holiday demand with additional workdays and extended hours, including holiday work when required.
• Assist with installations, building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
• Travel between assigned stores as scheduled.
