About The Position

As a part-time Merchandiser, you will independently service Hallmark departments in retail stores, showcasing organization and time-management skills, building relationships with retailers, and representing Hallmark. You will work with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory, and may support seasonal resets and installations. On occasion, you may work with other companies’ products in stores you service.

The role includes day-to-day restocking, organizing, and monitoring of Hallmark products and displays; seasonal holiday support that may involve additional days and extended hours; and department resets, fixture installations, and relocation of card departments and products. You will use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work tasks and communication, and may support other merchandisers in their territories. The position averages 8–10 hours per week on a variable weekday schedule. Availability before and after major holidays, potentially including weekends, is required. The work is performed on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms and is physically demanding.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to read, write, and understand English.
• Able to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Able to kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the workday; may need to climb stairs and step ladders.
• Able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside Hallmark departments at assigned retail stores.
• Maintain responsibility for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for daily work, communication with a supervisor, time reporting, feedback, surveys, and merchandising activities.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Support seasonal demand before and after holidays, including additional workdays or extended hours and, on some occasions, work on the holiday itself.
• Participate in department resets, including building and installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support fellow merchandisers in their territories as needed.
• Collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels.
