About The Position

The Hallmark Merchandiser works independently in assigned retail stores to present Hallmark products, maintain inventory, and build relationships with store teams. The role includes routine merchandising, seasonal support, and participation in department resets and installations. Merchandisers use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for daily tasks and communication, and may occasionally work with other companies’ products in serviced stores. This is a part-time position with a variable workweek schedule averaging 5–10 hours per week. Pay is $15.00–$17.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Hallmark provides paid training through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. The schedule may require additional days and extended hours around major holidays, including occasional work on the holiday itself, and availability for seasonal changeovers, installations, and inventory support. Reset assignments may involve evenings or weekends, and employees are typically notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments. The work takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms and is physically demanding. Employees must regularly handle merchandise and fixtures, move throughout stores, and may need to use stairs or step ladders. The position requires reliable transportation between assigned stores, internet access, and the ability to use a digital handheld device. Part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits, including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage for preventive care. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Employment is contingent on required employment documentation, an agreement to arbitrate, and successfully passing a post-offer background check. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Read, write, and understand English.
Frequently grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Be able to consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion.
Operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
Have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
Have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
Be available for a variable part-time schedule averaging 5–10 hours weekly, including availability around major holidays and seasonal changeovers.

Responsibilities

Perform service work in Hallmark departments at assigned grocery, drug, department, and mass-retail stores.
Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory in and outside the Hallmark department.
Maintain the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores and optimize product placement with local store teams.
Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for merchandising tasks, communication with a supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required activity surveys.
Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
Provide additional support around holidays, including seasonal demand periods and, when required, the holiday itself.
Support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory activities.
Participate in team assignments to build and install Hallmark fixtures, relocate card departments and products, and reset card sections.
Support other merchandisers in their territories when needed.
