As a part-time Merchandiser, you independently service Hallmark departments at retail stores, including grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers. You showcase organizational and time-management skills, build retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark while collaborating with store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory. You may also support other products in stores and assist fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations. The position averages 5–10 hours per week, with a variable schedule during the work week. Additional days and extended hours may be needed around major holidays and seasonal changeovers. Availability the week before and after major holidays is required and may include weekends; work on certain holidays may also be required. Department reset assignments may involve evenings or weekends, and remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance. Hallmark provides paid, hands-on and virtual training. Starting pay is $15.00–$17.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience, and eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits. The work takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms and is physically demanding. Merchandisers must frequently push, pull, lift, and carry items up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds, as well as kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the workday. Climbing stairs and step ladders may be required.
