About The Position

As a part-time Merchandiser, you work independently in assigned retail stores to showcase Hallmark products, maintain inventory, optimize product placement, and build relationships with store teams. You are responsible for the Hallmark product display at your assigned stores and may occasionally work with other companies’ products. The position averages 1–3 hours per week on a variable schedule during the work week, with additional hours and days possible during holiday periods, seasonal changeovers, installations, and inventory support. Starting pay is $14.50–$16.50 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Hallmark provides paid training through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases, and part-time employees scheduled for fewer than 30 hours per week may access voluntary benefits.

The work includes routine merchandising, holiday support, and department resets. Merchandisers use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work tasks and communications, including reporting time and submitting feedback. The role involves working on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms, interacting professionally with store employees, managers, and customers, and collaborating with other field merchandisers as needed.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Be able to frequently grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department at assigned retail stores.
• Maintain the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores and work with store teams to optimize product placement and inventory levels.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for merchandising work, communication with a supervisor, time reporting, feedback, and required activity surveys.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Provide additional support before and after major holidays, which may involve additional days and extended hours.
• Support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory activities as needed.
• Participate in department resets, including building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support fellow merchandisers in other territories when needed.
