As a Merchandiser, you will independently service Hallmark departments in retail stores, showcasing organization and time-management skills, building retailer relationships, and representing Hallmark. You will work with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory, and may support team members with seasonal resets and installations. Occasionally, you may work with products from other companies in the stores you service. The position averages 10–12 hours per week, with a variable schedule during the work week. Work includes day-to-day merchandising, additional seasonal support around major holidays, and department resets or installations. Holiday periods may bring additional workdays and extended hours; some holiday work may include the holiday itself and weekends. Reset assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance and may involve evenings or weekends. Hallmark provides paid training through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. The starting pay rate is $14.00–$16.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits, including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage for preventive care. The job is physically demanding and involves working on sales floors and in back stockrooms. Employees must frequently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures weighing up to 30 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The work also involves kneeling, squatting, walking, standing, and potentially climbing stairs and step ladders.
