About The Position

The Hallmark Merchandiser works independently in assigned retail stores to showcase Hallmark products, build relationships with store teams, maintain product placement and inventory, and represent Hallmark. Merchandisers service Hallmark departments in locations such as grocery, drug, department, and mass retail stores, and may occasionally work with other companies’ products in the stores they service. The role involves day-to-day merchandising, seasonal holiday support, department resets and installations, and collaboration with fellow merchandisers. The position is part-time, with a variable work-week schedule averaging 2–10 hours per week. Starting pay is $13.50–$15.50 per hour depending on skills and experience. Paid training includes live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Availability around major holidays and for seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support is required.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Be able to frequently grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Be available the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Be available to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside assigned Hallmark departments.
• Maintain the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for daily merchandising tasks, communication with a supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required activity surveys.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Provide additional support before and after major holidays, which may involve additional workdays and extended hours; work on certain holidays, including weekends, may be required.
• Support installations and department resets, including building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support fellow merchandisers in other territories as needed.
• Travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
