The Hallmark Merchandiser works independently in assigned retail stores to showcase organizational and time-management skills, build retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. The role collaborates with store teams to optimize product placement and inventory, supports fellow merchandisers with seasonal resets and installations when needed, and may occasionally involve working with other companies’ products in the stores serviced. Merchandisers perform service work in Hallmark departments at grocery, drug, department, and mass-retail stores. Day-to-day work includes restocking, organizing, and monitoring Hallmark products using a Hallmark-provided mobile device, as well as communicating with a supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing surveys. Courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is important, and the merchandiser is responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores. The work also includes additional hours and days around major holidays, seasonal changeovers, and department resets. Reset assignments may involve building or installing fixtures, relocating card departments or products, and resetting card sections. The job is physically demanding and takes place on sales floors and in back stockrooms. The position is part-time, with a variable weekday schedule and an average of up to 10 hours per week. Starting pay is $14.00–$16.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training is provided through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training.
