About The Position

As a part-time Merchandiser, you work independently in assigned retail stores to showcase Hallmark products, maintain inventory and product placement, and build relationships with store teams. You are responsible for the Hallmark product display at your assigned stores and use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for merchandising tasks and communications. The role includes routine service, additional holiday support, and occasional team assignments for department resets, installations, and other seasonal work. You may also occasionally work with other companies’ products in the stores you service.

The position averages 11–14 hours per week on a variable schedule during the work week. Availability before and after major holidays, sometimes including weekends or the holiday itself, is required. Season changeovers, extended services, installations, inventory support, and some evening or weekend remodel work may also be required. Starting pay is $14.00–$16.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training is provided through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Be able to frequently grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Be available during the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Be available to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department at assigned stores.
• Maintain the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores and optimize product placement in collaboration with local store teams.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for daily work, communication with a supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required surveys.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Provide additional service around holidays, including possible additional workdays, extended hours, and work on certain holidays.
• Support seasonal changeovers, installations, extended services, and inventory work.
• Participate in department resets, including building and installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support fellow merchandisers in other territories when needed.
