The Hallmark Merchandiser works independently in assigned retail stores to showcase Hallmark products, maintain inventory, optimize product placement, and build relationships with store teams. The role involves servicing Hallmark departments in grocery, drug, department, and mass retail stores, while representing Hallmark professionally to store employees, management, and customers. Merchandisers may also assist with products from other companies in the stores they service. Day-to-day work includes restocking, organizing, and monitoring Hallmark products, using a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work tasks, communication, time reporting, feedback, and required surveys. Merchandisers are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at their assigned stores. Seasonal work includes additional days and extended hours around major holidays, and may require work on the holiday itself. Merchandisers may also help teams build and install fixtures, relocate departments and products, and reset card sections. Remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance. The role may involve evening or weekend work and supporting other merchandisers in their territories. This is a part-time position with a variable schedule during the work week, averaging 11–14 hours per week. Starting pay is $14.00–$16.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training is provided through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. The role is physically demanding and requires working on selling floors and in back stockrooms, with frequent lifting and carrying of products and fixtures.
