About The Position

As a Hallmark Merchandiser, you work independently in assigned retail stores to maintain and showcase Hallmark products, build relationships with store teams, and support seasonal resets and installations. You are responsible for the Hallmark product display at your assigned stores and may occasionally work with products from other companies. The role involves day-to-day service work in retail locations, including restocking, organizing, and monitoring inventory in and outside Hallmark departments. A Hallmark-provided mobile device is used for merchandising tasks and communication, including reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required activity surveys. Professional, courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is important. The work schedule is variable during the work week, averaging 14–18 hours per week. Seasonal demand can bring additional workdays and extended hours before and after major holidays, sometimes including the holiday itself or weekends. You may also assist with installations, fixture building, relocating departments and products, and resetting card sections. Remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance and may involve evenings or weekends. Merchandisers may support colleagues in other territories as needed. The job is physically demanding and takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms. It requires frequent handling of products and fixtures, as well as kneeling, squatting, walking, and standing; climbing stairs or step ladders may also be required. Starting pay is $13.00–$15.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training is provided through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Part-time employees with schedules under 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits, and eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
