About The Position

Hallmark is hiring a part-time Merchandiser to service the Hallmark departments of retail stores, including grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers. The role works independently to organize and showcase products, maintain inventory, build relationships with retailer teams, and represent Hallmark. Merchandisers may also support seasonal resets, installations, and, on occasion, other companies’ products in the stores they service.

The position averages 7–10 hours per week on a variable schedule during the work week. The starting pay is $15.00–$17.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Hallmark provides paid training through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Additional days or extended hours may be required around major holidays and during season changeovers, installations, extended services, and inventory support. Availability the week before and after major holidays is required and may include weekends; work on certain holidays may also be required. Resets and remodel work may involve evenings or weekends.

The work takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms and is physically demanding. Employees must frequently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and fixtures up to 30 pounds, and occasionally handle up to 50 pounds. The role also requires kneeling, squatting, walking, and standing throughout the workday, and may require climbing stairs and step ladders.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to read, write, and understand English.
• Able to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products and inventory within and outside the Hallmark department at assigned stores.
• Maintain responsibility for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for daily work, communication with a supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing surveys for required merchandising activities.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels.
• Support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed.
• Provide additional holiday support, potentially including additional days, extended hours, and work on certain holidays.
• Build and install Hallmark fixtures, relocate card departments and products, and reset card sections as assigned.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
