About The Position

As a part-time Merchandiser, you work independently in assigned retail stores to showcase Hallmark products, build relationships with store teams, optimize product placement, and maintain inventory. You may also support seasonal resets, installations, and other merchandising tasks, and occasionally work with other companies’ products in the stores you service. Hallmark provides a mobile device for daily work and communication. The role includes variable weekday scheduling, averaging 7–18 hours per week, with additional hours and days around holidays and seasonal changeovers. Availability before and after major holidays, sometimes including weekends or the holiday itself, is required. Remodel assignments are typically announced two weeks in advance and may involve evenings or weekends.

The work takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms. It is physically demanding and involves handling merchandise and fixtures, moving through stores, and sometimes climbing stairs or step ladders. Employees must have reliable transportation between assigned stores, internet access, and the ability to use a digital handheld device. Starting pay is $15.25–$17.25 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training is provided, and eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Part-time employees scheduled under 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits, including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage for preventive care.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Be able to frequently grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Have availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Be available to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside Hallmark departments at assigned retail stores.
• Maintain responsibility for the Hallmark product displays at assigned stores.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work tasks, communication with a supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing surveys related to merchandising activities.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Provide additional holiday support, including extended hours and additional workdays as seasonal demand requires.
• Participate in department resets, including building and installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
• Be available for seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
