About The Position

Imperial is seeking a self-motivated Retail Service Merchandiser with attention to detail and a commitment to customer service. The role involves making scheduled visits to grocery stores in Massena, Potsdam, and Ogdensburg, New York, to stock and maintain general merchandise categories, displays, and shelves. The merchandiser works independently, builds positive relationships with store staff, and completes service reports using a tablet. The schedule lists Tuesday through Thursday; the posting also describes a consistent Monday-to-Friday schedule and states that the role has no night shifts or holiday work.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Basic computer skills, including using a login and password and following simple instructions.
Ability to read and write short correspondence and memos.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including operations with two-digit numbers and multiplying and dividing with tens and hundreds, using American money and weight, volume, and distance measurements.
Own reliable transportation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical work environment and provide outstanding customer service.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in retail, grocery, food service, or merchandising.
Knowledge of products and/or experience merchandising general merchandise or health and beauty care products.

Responsibilities

Make regularly scheduled store visits.
Ensure inline General Merchandise categories are stocked and maintained.
Set up and maintain promotional and sales displays, including introducing and cutting in new items.
Complete resets.
Build relationships with store managers and employees.
Stock merchandise.
Maintain shelf conditions by blocking sections and keeping them free of debris.
Ensure tag and price compliance.
Reorder products being serviced.
Maintain inventory levels for inline sections, power panels, clip strips, and cross-merchandise.
Prepare and submit weekly service reports on time via tablet.
Manage back stock and ensure product is worked to the shelf.
Ensure planogram compliance at the shelf.
Perform other duties as assigned.
