About The Position
Imperial is seeking a self-motivated Retail Service Merchandiser to provide merchandising and retail support at grocery stores. The role involves regular store visits, maintaining and stocking general merchandise sections, setting up displays and completing resets, and ensuring products and shelves meet inventory, pricing, and planogram requirements. The position requires travel to Massena, Potsdam, and Ogdensburg, New York. The posting lists a Tuesday–Thursday schedule and also describes a consistent Monday–Friday schedule; it highlights a daytime schedule, no night shifts or holiday work, and independence in planning the day.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic computer skills, including using a login and password and following simple instructions.
- Ability to read and write short correspondence and memos.
- Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small-group situations to customers, clients, and employees.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with tens and hundreds.
- Ability to perform calculations using American money and units of weight, volume, and distance.
- Own reliable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in retail, grocery, food service, or merchandising.
- Knowledge of products and/or experience merchandising general merchandise or health and beauty care products.
Responsibilities
- Make regularly scheduled store visits.
- Ensure inline General Merchandise categories are well stocked and maintained.
- Place and maintain displays, including promotional and sales displays and the introduction and cut-in of new items.
- Complete resets.
- Build relationships with store managers and employees.
- Stock merchandise.
- Maintain shelf conditions by keeping sections blocked and free of debris.
- Ensure tag and price compliance.
- Reorder products serviced.
- Maintain inventory levels for inline sections, power panels, clip strips, and cross merchandise.
- Prepare and submit weekly service reports on time via tablet.
- Manage back stock to ensure product is worked to the shelf.
- Ensure planogram compliance at the shelf.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
