The Merchandiser works independently in assigned retail stores to showcase Hallmark products, build relationships with store teams, optimize product placement, and maintain inventory. The role involves servicing Hallmark departments in grocery, drug, department, and mass-retail stores, and may occasionally involve products from other companies. Merchandisers use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for merchandising tasks, time reporting, communication, feedback, and surveys. They are responsible for the Hallmark product display in their assigned stores and may help other merchandisers in their territories. The position includes routine restocking and organization, additional work around seasonal holidays, and occasional department resets and installations. Holiday periods can require additional days and extended hours, and some work may be required on the holiday itself. Reset assignments may involve building or installing fixtures, relocating departments or products, and resetting card sections; these assignments are typically announced two weeks in advance and may take place in the evening or on weekends. This is a part-time role with a variable work-week schedule, averaging 10–15 hours per week. Starting pay is $17.00–$19.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Hallmark provides paid live, hands-on and virtual training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Employees working fewer than 30 hours per week have access to voluntary benefits, including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage for preventive care.
