As a Merchandiser, you work independently in the Hallmark departments of retail stores, using organization and time-management skills to showcase products and build relationships with retailers while representing Hallmark. You collaborate with store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory, and may support other team members with seasonal resets and installations. You may occasionally work with other companies’ products in the stores you service. The position involves day-to-day restocking, organizing, and monitoring Hallmark product displays and inventory, using a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work tasks and communication. Work also includes seasonal holiday support and occasional department resets, installations, and fixture or product relocations. The schedule is variable during the work week and averages 3–12 hours per week. Additional days or extended hours may be needed around major holidays and for seasonal changeovers, installations, and inventory support. The role is physically demanding and involves working on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms. Merchandisers must regularly handle cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures, and may need to kneel, squat, walk, stand, climb stairs, or use step ladders. Hallmark provides paid training through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training.
