The Merchandiser works independently in assigned retail stores to showcase organization and time-management skills, build retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. The role collaborates with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory, and supports fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations as needed. Work is performed in grocery, drug, department, and mass retail stores, and may occasionally involve products from other companies. The position has a variable schedule during the work week, averaging 6–10 hours per week. Employees should be available the week before and after major holidays, potentially including weekends, and to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support. Leading up to and following major holidays, additional workdays and extended hours may be needed; work on certain holidays may also be required. Remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance and may involve evenings or weekends. Hallmark provides paid training through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. The starting pay rate is $14.50–$16.50 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits, including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage for preventive care. The job is physically demanding and involves working on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms. Employees must frequently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and fixtures weighing up to 30 pounds, and occasionally handle up to 50 pounds. The work also requires kneeling, squatting, walking, and standing, and may require climbing stairs and step ladders.
