About The Position

The Merchandiser Floater works independently in assigned retail stores to showcase Hallmark products, maintain inventory and product displays, build relationships with store teams, and support fellow merchandisers with seasonal resets and installations. Stores may include grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers. The role may occasionally involve working with other companies’ products in stores served.

Work is part-time, averaging 5–15 hours per week, with a variable schedule during the work week. Additional days and extended hours may be needed around holidays and seasonal demand. Availability the week before and after major holidays, potentially including weekends, is required. The position may also support season changeovers, extended services, installations, inventory work, and department remodels.

Hallmark provides a mobile device for merchandising tasks and work-related communication. The work takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms and is physically demanding. Part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits, including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage for preventive care.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Be able to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Be able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Be available the week before and after major holidays, potentially including weekends.
• Be available to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside Hallmark departments at assigned stores.
• Maintain responsibility for the Hallmark product display at assigned stores and optimize product placement in collaboration with local store teams.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device to access documents, report time, communicate with a supervisor, provide feedback, and complete required activity surveys.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Provide additional holiday support, including additional workdays or extended hours; work on certain holidays when required.
• Support installations and department resets, including building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support fellow merchandisers in their territories and assist with season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
