About The Position
The City of Wentzville is seeking a Gym & Fitness Attendant to join its Parks and Recreation team at the Wentzville Rec Center in Wentzville, Missouri. The role helps ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the gymnasium and fitness areas while providing friendly, high-quality customer service. Duties include responding to customer needs, keeping areas clean and properly stocked, and completing other assigned tasks. This is a part-time position that will not exceed an average of 29 hours per week.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- CPR/AED and First Aid certifications are required within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
- Knowledge of customer and personal service principles, including assessing customer needs, meeting service quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with supervisors, coworkers, and customers by telephone, in writing, and in person.
- Ability to use good judgment and think rationally in difficult or stressful situations.
- Ability to set goals and plans, prioritize and organize work, accomplish tasks, and concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency with basic business software, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and presentations, and with basic office equipment.
- Ability to work with little supervision and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Must maintain regular attendance and be reliable, responsible, and dependable.
