About The Position

Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Gulfstream G550 Captain to safely operate the aircraft and help meet clients’ travel needs. The role calls for a standout colleague committed to excellence and to Solairus’ culture of safety, service, and integrity. The Captain conducts flights safely and prudently in accordance with company policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, and ensures the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew. The position requires on-call availability and annual ICAO international procedures training.

Requirements

• 3,000 total flight hours.
• 1,500 PIC hours.
• 1,500 MEL hours.
• 500 MEL PIC hours.
• 500 hours in turbojet aircraft.
• 250 instrument hours.
• Type rating on the Gulfstream G550 or comparable aircraft.
• Current first-class medical certificate.
• Ability to work on an on-call basis.
• Ability to complete ICAO international procedures training annually.
• Primary residence within a two-hour drive of New York Metro area airports, or willingness to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the Gulfstream G550 aircraft.
• Review the aircraft’s maintenance status.
• Conduct a pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
• Check weather and facilities along the planned route and at destination and alternate airports.
• Conduct flights in accordance with Solairus Aviation policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Ensure the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew.
• Complete trip paperwork accurately in accordance with current procedures.
