About The Position

Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Gulfstream G550 Captain for an operation at KAFW airport in Fort Worth, Texas. The Captain is responsible for the safe and prudent operation of the aircraft, ensuring that flights comply with Solairus Aviation policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations. The role requires working on an on-call basis and completing ICAO international procedures training annually. The candidate must live within a two-hour drive of KAFW or be willing to relocate.

Requirements

• Total flight time of 3,000 hours.
• 1,500 hours PIC time.
• 1,500 hours MEL time.
• 500 hours MEL PIC time.
• 500 hours in turbojet aircraft.
• 250 hours of instrument time.
• Type rating on a Gulfstream G550 or comparable aircraft.
• Current first-class medical certificate.
• Ability to work on an on-call basis.
• Ability to complete ICAO international procedures training annually.
• Primary residence within a two-hour drive of KAFW or willingness to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the Gulfstream G550 aircraft.
• Review the aircraft’s maintenance status.
• Conduct a proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
• Check weather and facilities along the route and at intended and alternate airports.
• Ensure flights comply with Solairus Aviation policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Ensure the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew.
• Accurately complete trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.
