About The Position
Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Gulfstream G550 Captain for an operation at KAFW airport in Fort Worth, Texas. The Captain is responsible for safely operating the aircraft and conducting flights in accordance with Solairus Aviation policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations. The role requires a focus on safety, service, and integrity while meeting clients’ travel needs. The Captain must review aircraft maintenance status; perform the approved Aircraft Flight Manual pre-flight inspection; assess weather and facilities along the route and at planned and alternate airports; ensure the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew; and complete trip paperwork accurately. The position requires on-call availability, annual ICAO international procedures training, and a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KAFW or willingness to relocate.
Requirements
- 3,000 total flight hours.
- 1,500 PIC hours.
- 1,500 MEL hours.
- 500 MEL PIC hours.
- 500 hours in turbojet aircraft.
- 250 instrument hours.
- Type rating on the Gulfstream G550 or a comparable aircraft.
- First-class medical certificate.
- Ability to work on an on-call basis.
- Ability to complete ICAO international procedures training annually.
- Primary residence within a two-hour drive of KAFW or willingness to relocate.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate the Gulfstream G550 aircraft.
- Conduct flights safely and prudently in accordance with applicable requirements.
- Review the aircraft’s maintenance status.
- Perform a proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
- Check weather and facilities along the planned route and at intended and alternate airports.
- Ensure flights comply with Solairus Aviation policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Ensure the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew.
- Complete trip paperwork accurately and in accordance with current procedures.
