About The Position

The Guitar Technician (Luthier), also described as a Repair Tech (Guitar), provides maintenance and repair services for customer-owned instruments and helps maintain specified store inventory. The role supports business growth through quality work and a positive customer experience. Technicians interact with customers, service instruments with a high level of craftsmanship, maintain store-owned gear as requested, and complete warranty repairs. Additional duties may be assigned.

Successful technicians are customer-focused, approachable, knowledgeable, and able to handle customer service issues. They take initiative to identify and resolve issues, learn product and store-operation knowledge, and develop sales and leadership skills. They can also train others and communicate information and techniques effectively.

Requirements

• Skilled understanding of repairing guitars.
• Ability to provide an excellent customer experience and connect with customers in a meaningful way.
• Ability to identify opportunities and issues and follow through on work activities.
• Ability to learn quickly and take positive action without being asked.
• Ability to communicate information and techniques effectively when training others.

Responsibilities
