About The Position
Guitar Center is seeking a Guitar Technician (Luthier) to perform maintenance and repair services on customer-owned instruments and help maintain specific store inventory. The role supports the company’s mission of helping people experience the joy of creating music by providing quality repairs and a positive customer experience. Successful technicians demonstrate customer focus, initiative, willingness to learn about products and store operations, and the ability to train and communicate techniques effectively. Technicians may work through Guitar Center’s certification program to develop a foundation in products and sales techniques.
Requirements
- Skilled understanding of repairing guitars.

Responsibilities
- Interact with customers and ensure a positive customer experience.
- Service customer-owned instruments with a high level of craftsmanship.
- Maintain store-owned gear as requested.
- Complete warranty repair work.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Effectively train learners and communicate information and techniques so they are retained.
