About The Position

The Guitar Technician (Luthier), also described as a Repair Technician (Guitar), provides maintenance and repair services for customer-owned instruments and assists with maintenance of specific store inventory. The role supports business growth through quality work and a positive customer experience.

Successful technicians are customer-focused, approachable, knowledgeable, and committed to helping customers. They take initiative to identify and resolve issues, learn product and store-operation knowledge, and develop their sales and leadership skills. They can train others effectively and communicate techniques clearly. Technicians may work through Guitar Center’s certification program to build a foundational understanding of products and sales techniques.

• Skilled understanding of guitar repair.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers and ensure a positive customer experience.
• Service customer-owned instruments with a high level of craftsmanship.
• Maintain store-owned gear as requested.
• Complete warranty repair work.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
