About The Position

Guitar Center is seeking a Repair Technician (Guitar) to perform maintenance and repair services on customer-owned instruments and help maintain specific store inventory. The role supports business growth by delivering a positive customer experience and high-quality work. Successful technicians are customer-focused, approachable, knowledgeable, and able to address customer service issues. They take initiative, learn quickly, build product and store-operations knowledge, and develop sales skills through Guitar Center’s certification program. They can also train others and communicate techniques effectively.

The listed pay rate is $15.92–$23.88 per hour, plus commission, depending on background and experience. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, and other factors, and ranges may differ by location.

• Skilled understanding of guitar repair.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers and ensure a positive customer experience.
• Service customer-owned instruments with a high level of craftsmanship.
• Maintain store-owned gear as requested.
• Complete warranty repair work.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Complete Guitar Center’s certification program to develop a base understanding of products and sales techniques.
• Train learners and communicate information and techniques effectively.
