About The Position

Guitar Center is seeking a Guitar Technician (Luthier), also referred to as a Repair Technician (Guitar), to provide maintenance and repair services on customer-owned instruments and help maintain specific store inventory. The role supports business growth through a positive customer experience and high-quality craftsmanship. The technician interacts with customers, services instruments, maintains store-owned gear as requested, and completes warranty repairs. Successful technicians demonstrate customer focus, initiative, an interest in developing product and sales knowledge, and the ability to train and communicate techniques effectively.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Service customer-owned instruments with a high level of craftsmanship.
• Maintain store-owned gear as requested.
• Complete warranty repair work.
• Handle additional duties as assigned.
• Identify opportunities and issues, and follow through to capitalize on or resolve them.
• Develop knowledge and skills related to products, store operations, sales, and leadership.
• Work through the Guitar Center certification program to gain a foundational understanding of products and sales techniques.
• Effectively train learners and communicate information and techniques so they are retained.
