Guest Services Associate Part Time
About The Position
Pyramid Global Hospitality is hiring a part-time Guest Services Associate for the Aloft Sarasota Hotel in downtown Sarasota, Florida. The hotel has 139 rooms and 2,400 square feet of meeting space. The associate will join the Front Desk team and use an engaging, service-focused approach to create memorable first impressions and guest experiences. The role includes checking in and registering guests, sharing information about the hotel, its amenities, and the local area, and helping resolve guest concerns. The position offers an opportunity to develop a hospitality career at a Pyramid property.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong desire to make an impact on other people.
- Outgoing and engaging personality.
- Computer skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
- Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Help guests discover their “Wanderlust” experience.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests and taking a sincere interest in them.
- Check guests in, ensuring proper credit is received, special requests are noted and fulfilled, and accurate information is established.
- Help resolve problems and provide guest recovery when things are not right.
- Promote and sell special hotel programs.
- Interact professionally with hotel and resort staff, assisting other departments with necessary information.
- Know and follow all emergency procedures and policies.
- Maintain the house bank.
- Communicate pertinent information to the manager on duty.
- Follow established procedures for posting, charges, cashing checks, safe deposits, and refunds.
- Assist other departments as needed.
